Chattanooga protesters call for abolition of police, not reform, after Nichols killing 

About 60 people demonstrated Tuesday outside a Chattanooga City Council meeting,

Rev. Charlotte Williams of Eastdale Village said, "This heinous act of state-sanctioned violence should not be viewed in isolation,

The rally was organized by the Chattanooga activist group Concerned Citizens for Justice,

which was formed in 1984 and resurfaced in 2012 after the Trayvon Martin killing in Florida.
