No foul play suspected in death of Memphis rapper Big Scarr, police say

Memphis police have confirmed the death of up-and-coming rapper Big Scarr, who died Thursday at 22.

Police confirmed to WHBQ that the rapper, whose real name was Alexander Woods,

 died Thursday, and said that no foul play is suspected.

This is an ongoing death investigation,” police told WHBQ. No cause of death was given.

Scarr was preparing to go on tour with Key Glock, a fellow rapper from Memphis,

as part of his “Glockoma Tour 2023,” WHBQ reported.

The rapper’s death was confirmed in an Instagram post by Gucci Mane,

the rapper and record producer who founded 1017 Records, WHBQ-TV reported.

The musician’s cause of death has not been revealed.
